Hello, effurybody!
You might be thinking from the title of this blog that it's like the human study - everybody taking notes, waking up, not waking up and all sorts of wires attached..
The sleep study I'm conducting involves what we look for when we want a good, old-fashioned nap.
1. A spot that looks comfortable
2. Where the scent of home is best.
3. A place that's warm, like a lap
4. Quiet
5. Sometimes what's best could be an area hidden away
Did I forget anything?
Looking back, here is our Anastasia sleeping on clothes, maybe laundry? Pants, pillow, looks like a tote bag or maybe shorts, and pjs.
Doesn't she look comfy??? She always liked to sleep on the things humans wear.
Wait - I did forget something. Some of us, like my great-great uncle Tom always wanted to snooze with a buddy by his side. Here he is with Vinny Blackwhisker.
I know, this pic isn't all that good. This was from a long, long time ago. Long before my time..Some of you might remember the first Tom and his posts about ten years ago. Believe me, I had big paws to fill!
Do you have sleeping spots you like better than others?

Tom, our Chili Bruce has begun to be a lap cat, and he even falls asleep!
Can't imagine it's a comfy place, but these cats will fall asleep in a box, when they have cushiony soft beddies and blankets all over the place to use instead.
Weird.
Wherever dad sits or sleeps, those are my favorite spots says cat Scooby.
Eric liked his dad's lap, but Flynn would fall asleep anywhere and in any position.
Naps are very important!
Warm, sunny spots are best!

My favorite right now is the Dad's chair, which is my chair now, it's snoozy purrfect!
I have lots of sleep spots, Tom. And I use all of them to my advantage. ~Ernie
You have some fantastic comfy napping spots. A napping spot is extra special when treats are nearby.
My favorite sleep spots are the back of the chaise, and the top of my cat tree. - XO Ava
MY favorite spots t sleep are my beddie, of course, the back of the couch, on top of the recliner's back, and the middle cup on my cat tree. OH! And mommy's lap. That's last sorta, because she's a moving target.
There's nothing more peaceful and purrfect than watching a kitty sleeping!
