Notes from a parish cat and his author Julie Mackenzie

My photo
I am Father Tom Fish, esteemed member of the religious team at Temptation of Christ Parish in the novels by author Julie Mackenzie. As to my background, I was invited into the rectory as a stray, laid on the charm, and was invited to stay, even honorarily ordained and no less spiritual than my sidekick Father Will. He dotes on me to high heaven and forgives all of my street cat proclivities, whatever the hell that means.

Totally Penny

Hi, friends!

I decided it was high time I devoted some space on my blog to Penny.

The housekeeper and I were able to capture a couple of really great photos of her and wanted to share them.

When she turned her head to look back at the camera, it was the dreaded red eye..It's kinda scary, if you ask me. Either that or she looks like a stoplight!

 Looks awesomely cute, though!

Still very shy around Bridget and me, but she's coming along. We all just have to be patient. Cats know all about patience, except when we're hungry, right?

Have a good week, everyone and best wishes from me, Penny and Bridget!

Coat of Many Colors

Hello, friends!

One day I decided I would try to count all the different colors in Bridget's fur. After about a dozen colors and patterns, I finally had to give up. I have never known anyone, man or beastie, with so many different--I dunno, stripes, colors, splotches, patterns..Her genes must have gone crazy pants! You would definitely think so if you saw her mother. She was just black and white!

Here are a few photos that show off her furs..

And now, boys and girls, a little cheesecake!!

Surprise!!

All those colors got stopped at the border! An all-white chest and tum-tum!

She's unique, that's for sure and as sweet as can be, most of the time. I do pick on her mercilessly, but that's just me. She always accepts my apology and comes in for a cuddle.

Have a good week, efurrybody!

Getting Back in the Swing

 Hi, friends!

Finished Easter week - did you notice I celebrated after Easter?

You didn't? *GASP!* You mean I wasn't missed...I was so counting on that..!!

Anyhoo,  I'm back and I have a question. I think my left side is my best side.

What do you think?

The housekeeper thinks all my sides (and my asides) are magnificent! But, I do believe she's a bit biased.

I can't wait to comment on blogs - I'll begin visiting today after my paws get used to the keyboard again!

                                                 OOPS!!

This is more like it!

I have a lot of catching up to do!

Toodle-loo!!
