Notes from a parish cat and his author Julie Mackenzie

My photo
I am Father Tom Fish, esteemed member of the religious team at Temptation of Christ Parish in the novels by author Julie Mackenzie. As to my background, I was invited into the rectory as a stray, laid on the charm, and was invited to stay, even honorarily ordained and no less spiritual than my sidekick Father Will. He dotes on me to high heaven and forgives all of my street cat proclivities, whatever the hell that means.

Karate Moves!

Hi, folks!

It's no secret that Bridget and I go at it, wrestling, tumbling and trying our bloodthirsty best, one to overcome the other. I always, I mean always get the upper hand, or paw, pushing her down, towering over her and demanding submission.

However, let me be clear, I don't know how this happened, but for the FIRST TIME EVER, the roles were reversed! I found myself at her feet, helpless to defend myself, until I remembered my lessons in cat karate...!!!

Hey, what a kick!!

After all that, we survived and I swore I'll never be at a disadvantage again...but was I really? I think I handled myself very well. My sensei was proud of me, but then told me Bridget had contacted him right after this and begged him to give her lessons.. yeah, we'll see..LOL!!

Have a good week, everybody!

TOM

Tom, since there was no resulting bloodshed, then I'd say this battle ended up a tie at best, but I know that each of you think that you had a win!

That was a very impressive karate kick, Tom!
Eric used to get the best of Flynn by using his weight, but Flynn knew that a swift bite to Eric's ear would turn the tables.

Looks like you are slowly losing your advantage Tom as time goes by. You might want to think twice about picking fights!
