Notes from a parish cat and his author Julie Mackenzie

My photo
I am Father Tom Fish, esteemed member of the religious team at Temptation of Christ Parish in the novels by author Julie Mackenzie. As to my background, I was invited into the rectory as a stray, laid on the charm, and was invited to stay, even honorarily ordained and no less spiritual than my sidekick Father Will. He dotes on me to high heaven and forgives all of my street cat proclivities, whatever the hell that means.

Mardi Gras!

Laissez les bons temps rouler!!

Let the good times roll!

Just wanted to jump on here for a second day in a row to wish everyone a very happy Shrove Tuesday! Eat much, purr often, and let the joyful energy lift your spirits!

Tom, on the way to the office, I drove past a bakery that had a packed parking lot!
Here in Metro Detroit, it's Paczki Day! Supposedly, folks use up the last of their sugar and fat, because they won't need it for Lent. So these paczki's are sweet and full of calories!
