Another Monday with the sun just coming up over the treetops!
This winter has been one for the history books with the whisker-numbing cold, the snow and the ice that sent people sprawling. Jack and Will had quite the job keeping things under control as people crab-walked their way to Mass every morning.
One thing that came out of our piles of snow is a mystery. Don't know who did it. Nobody saw anything and we're still wondering how these little lines in the snow came about.
Any ideas?
It reminds me of that wormwood or something like it, little tunnels created by burrowing critters. Anyway, never saw anything like this before in all my years of window-watching. Not that there have been that many, mind you!
Maybe somebody was trying to draw something and was interrupted! We know a human didn't do it because there are no footprints leading up to it. Hmmm...
Something to ponder this week, for sure.
Have a good one!
Ever on the lookout,
Tom

That is so strange, maybe the aliens paid a visit and didn't find any crops for a crop circle!
We agree with Brian.....Aliens!
The Florida Furkids
Same people who does the crop circles!
The actual indentations look like water was poured delicately from a cup or other vessel. Could water have flowed briefly from eavestroughs?
Voles!
They rip up the grass under the snow, check in the spring for their handiwork.
That is so cool! It may be something underneath and it caused the snow to drop. Or I was thinking a bird on top but that's a stretch for you'd see wing marks at least. Interesting to say the least!
dood....we think itz ale ee endz ...like crop circullz N stuff !!!!!!
☺☺♥♥
A small animal like a mouse maybe
Looks to us like some poor little frozen soul has lost his way.
Wow, very interesting! And quite mysterious...
We think we'd hide in a closet if we ever saw anything like that, Tom!
Aliens. That’s what we think. ;)
When we get a lot of snow I sometimes see marks like this where mice/voles/etc have run. Sometimes they run on top, but if the snow is deep they run underneath and sometimes the snow above the tunnels collapses. In this pic they come to abrupt ends, like maybe all the snow didn't collapse over the whole tunnel. Other than that - aliens.
I wanted to thank you for this wonderful
read!! I certainly loved every bit of it. I've
got you bookmarked to check out new things you post…
Aliens sound much more exciting, but I saw on a TV programme once that where mice run under the snow the tracks are left on the surface. I think they said that the warmth of their bodies makes the snow melt so the surface drops leaving the lines.
Hello there! I just want to give you a huge thumbs up for
the excellent info you have got right here on this post.
I will be coming back to your website for more soon.
