So, it's the beginning of the work week and everybody's bracing themselves, including me, for what lies ahead.
Tomorrow is Fat Tuesday and I intend to ignore my waistline such as it is and eat and eat.
I may also don the apparel that was a hit last year.
Wednesday is Ash Wednesday when people come and get their foreheads mussed up with dirt. Okay, blessed ashes.
Meanwhile, while the peasants, okay parishioners, get reminded that they'll be turning to dust, the world is again turning to mush with snow and piles of already seasoned salt and sand..
What a time..which brings to mind a certain sentiment by Minnesotian and fellow bard:
And there you have it. So, as Mae West so aptly put it: "Buckle up, it's gonna be a bumpy ride."
Buckled and bowed,
Tom

You look very fancy for Mardi Gras!
I like the March quote, it is very true.
We hope your bumpiness clears up super soon!
Right now, Tom, we'd like Winter to let go of March, so Spring can finally arrive! Winter is being tenacious, though, with single digit temps for the next few nights, and bands of snow during the day. Old Man Winter...GO AWAY!
That mask did a super job as we did not even recognize you!
