It's a happy day around here as we celebrate my five-year friendship with Bridget de la Furr. She was just Bridget for the longest time and then I got the bright idea to give her a surname. Mine—Fishworthy—didn't come right away, either. Pets usually are given the last names of their family, but it was kinda hard for us since an entire parish is considered family.
Here she is, a kitten, just a few months old:
From the very beginning, we were close. She never left my side.
