You'd never know she was anything but sweet.
Her bites are playful, her little whisker pouches so cute.
Sometimes she'll grab hold of the dangly toy and sometimes she'll just watch it swing back and forth.
That's the sweet side of her. She's fun to watch because she's so fluffernuttery pretty and funny.
But, hold onto your nip nanners, folks, because the ladycat has a dark side. Actually her dark side is connected to her backside. If you have any ideas of messing with the aft end of this cat, there is hell to pay, I kid you not.
(sorry, no combat pics)
This is what happened: Mom Julie was crouched down helping Anastasia with her toilette and all of a sudden, ears pinned back and--snake strike! It all happened so fast! She had never done it before, even tho she's known to give a love bite or two. Mom Julie shrieked and I ran. I think Tinker was sleeping.
Maybe it was because she had received a hygiene trim at the vet just last week and hadn't recovered. There, she raised holy hell, screaming like a banshee when they went to shave her nether regions, or so I heard..::ahem::
Anyway, it turns out she doesn't like anything coming at her from behind.
Uh-oh. Check out the ears..
I wonder who's
sneaking up on her now..
(can you see me?)
Shhhh...don't tell her!
Have a great weekend, furriends and don't let anybody sneak up on you!
Hugs,
Tom

Awwwwww!! Anastasia is truly fluffermuttery pretty!! Awwww she's adorable!! She just doesn't like surprises maybe! Esp. the sneaking up behind her type of surprise! :-) Take care

If Anastasia had her floof trimmed at the back we aren't surprised she reacted like that - we think we'd have been like that too.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Poor Mom Julie. Hope you didn't need too many bandaids.
Anastasia sure has good ear signals!

Mommy has done a sanitary clip on many cats and thankful have never met an Anastasia! And hopefully won't ever either. ;)
Oh dear, I guess we all have things we don't like. We hope Mom Julie is ok, sometimes these bites can be pretty serious. Happy Friday! xoxo
Oh dear! How many stitches were needed?
HahahahA! None, thankfully. I think she found that her growls weren't getting her anywhere and Mom Julie is slow as molasses, so she opted for the extreme!
she sounds like she may be related to Ivy....MOL. we hope mom Julie is OK and stays away from that end of the kitty :)
Anastasia is very fluffernuttery :-)
I think you are right, she was still alert because of the hygiene trim... I see you behind her, be careful!!
I can't say I blame he, I wouldn't want anyone coming at me from behind, either.
Whoa! But then, a hygiene trim might put lots of kitties out of sorts...
By those cute whisker pouches, you'd never know what a fighter she could be! Btw, we see you back there, Tinker. The Ears of Annoyance tell everything!
Yikes! Well, now we all know! Note to self: do not EVER approach Anastasia from behind.
Have a wonderful weekend, dear friends (and we hope Mom Julie is okay!).
Hugs!
My Dad does a few of those trims here, and nobody squawks...much! See is a pretty one though!
Purrrrrss for Mom Julie. We hope she is recovering OK.
Yikes! Backing away slowly from the kitty.. we won't touch the kitty... From the rear anyway, but can we rub the tummy! When she's in a better mood..
Oh Oh! We see you behind that basket!
She definitely looks like a kitty you better leave alone when she being a grumpus.
Patches is just like that. He will not allow any grooming whatsoever except the lightest of brushings. ANd because of this his long fine furs get all matty. We've already had his belly shaved once. It's quickly coming due again!
Whoa! Who would've ever thunk. Hope Julie didn't come down with an infection or anything nasty.
Oh she's got a She Devil look!!
Well now, Anastasia is quite beautiful indeed, but methinks the lady hath a temper. Tsk tsk. Hope Mom is okay. That must have a big surprise. You have a great weekend Tom. And don't sneak up on your sister!
Oh, dear! Shades of our Julie! We hold her down to clip things from her fur that shouldn't be there. She get a "Sani-clip" from the groomers and an attitude towards us.
Anatstasia, don't worry ! You are not the worst, Me is da worst !
Tell your mom , last night my mom was silly come to wake me up, and I straight my front paw. guess what my paw went to her eye !
Lucky nothing happen, just one sore eye. But she is o.k. She know it's her false !
I hope your mom is o.k., just like my mom.

She sure IS purty, but that would make me want to run screaming too! I hope Mom Julie is OK.
Oh My Cat!!!!!!!!!
So cute babies!
Oh my. I know how some sisters are, Tom. I've got a THREE-in-one--Caroline, Screamoline and Snapoline!
Who would have guessed such a sweet face hid such a little chili padi firecracker?
