Sorry, we haven't posted in awhile. Mom Julie has been so busy since she arrived home last weekend from a trip back to Delmarva. Talking about hitting all three states! She's been looking at new places for us to live in Maryland (Salisbury), Delaware and Virginia (Lynchburg).
Here are pics she took. None of houses, too many to share.
Didn't notice until I biggyfied that the mockingbird has only one leg. |
This is the Zwaanendael Museum in Lewes, Delaware
It almost looks like the building has whiskers!! |
Here's pic of a wind turbine there, too.
I don't think the whooshing noise disturbs these neighbors! |
In Lynchburg, VA, this is a skyway for students going to and from the university for access to restaurants, shops, etc.
Would you believe she took this while driving? Naughty, naughty!! |
Yikes! You scared me!
We'll be leaving Maine at some point, we just don't know when. It could very well be next spring at the rate we're going as we get our home here ready to sell with sprucing up the gardens, sanding the deck and chasing clutter.
Meanwhile, Mom Julie'll be working at the local catalog company for the holidays (like Jerry in my book). That'll take us into February when the season tapers off. Of course, the second book in the series is still waiting in the wings. Between you and me, I wish she would stop persnicketying around over every little phrase and word. She says it makes the story flow better. I say just hurry the hell up and get it done!! (I did like it, though, when she made up old Father Jack's favorite wine and cheese place, calling it the BeCheeses :)
Have a good weekend, furriends!

we didn't know you was plannin' to move. mom says the packin' alone makes her say no more. :)
Leave Maine?!?! :( (but don't think I haven't thought about it as I shiver my tushie off in the winter time)
You are moving? I hope you leave a forwarding address!
Have a safe move! I need a change myself, but more needed in career than location! :)
We're glad Julie's back and hope she found something she likes...or at least has decided where to focus the search!
Happy weekend to you all. :-)
We had no idea you were contemplating moving! We hope you find the house that you will make into a beautiful home soon. Have a great weekend!
Thanks for the update, friends! We've been thinking of you, and wondering how you were doing, and how all that moving stuff was going.
We can hardly wait to read your next book! :)
Big hugs to you all!
We is movin to our new place this winter and this makes the Mommy send lots of pawsitive thoughts and sympathy to your Mommy!
UH OH not the "M" word.
We haven't ever moved, but we hear that is a word that shouldn't be in a kitty vocabulary.

Moving is so hard! I wish you luck and I am sure your house will sell quickly. Why are you leaving Maine? My assistant says it's beautiful!
Your pal, Pip
Wow, we didn't know you were going to move, either! We've never moved ourselves, but our mom says it's a lot of work! We wish you the best!!
Wow, moving is a huge deal! We hope all the kitties do well on the move! It'll be a great adventure! Good luck on finding your home!
The last time we moved (the only time my human has moved since I've lived here), it was a big three blocks away! I can't imagine moving to another state. I guess my human's boyfriend is good for something - she says if he wasn't here, she would move to New York, all the way on the other coast!
This will be Mom Julie's 16th and FINAL move. Moving before prompted by her father's military obligations and then taking jobs all over the country for her career.
I know, whew!!
We just take things one day at a time. This move coming up is permanent, with our eyes on a retirement spot for her and a place where we can really kick back. :)
We move a lot. That's just what we do. My staff woman loves to move, and we only rent - so it is a lot easier. I have to tell you, though, it is the strangest hobby I have ever heard of!
Oh you are moving! Delaware, Virginia, Maryland, I think it's very nice around there. I hope you find the perfect place for you!
Fr. Jacks wine & cheese place name is great! Just a tantalizing morsel in the wait for the next book!
Maybe the mockingbird was hot standing on that light fixture so he just imitated a flamingo and stood on one leg?
Oh lovely Tom!! Mum Julie is busy, busy, busy!! Awwwww!! Me and Charlie wish her all the best with her book!! Yay!!! We hope you find a great place to call home!!! Take care

We did not know it either that you were moving. Sure hope it all goes well for you. Glad to hear that it is going to be permanent. I think sometimes it is so hard to move. Take care.
Maine---sound so romantic, my human Tommy says. I can't wait to hear where you guys find to put the pays and kick on back...and the photos--I like the Delaware picture and my human blubbered over the sleepin' kitty... :)

Hi Tom and Mom Julie !
Sorry for not been stoping by for a while , it´s my mom ´s fault (as usually:).
It sure looks like that house have whiskers :)
A few miles from where I live there is lot of wind turbines , but I have never seen them. Maybe I will se them next week when me and mom are going to Norway on a catshow ??
Have a great weekedn you too !
We lived a long time ago in Snow Hill...not far from Salisbury. Just be careful, Tom, you don't get packed in one of those boxes. I know how your kind loves those things. Me? Not so much.
Your doggy pal, Sage
Sage!! Now you're in Oregon..my, my.
We never do know where we're going to land, do we??
Hugs,
Tom
Good luck with your move! Just between us, Maryland is better than the other places. We were all born and raised (and still living) there!
