Notes from a parish cat and his author Julie Mackenzie
- Fr. Tom Fish
- I am Father Tom Fish, esteemed member of the religious team at Temptation of Christ Parish in the novels by author Julie Mackenzie. As to my background, I was invited into the rectory as a stray, laid on the charm, and was invited to stay, even honorarily ordained and no less spiritual than my sidekick Father Will. He dotes on me to high heaven and forgives all of my street cat proclivities, whatever the hell that means.

I do agree with Father Tom, Our Paws always super super clean, May be that's for woofies..tee..hee ( Woofies must hate me : ) well, It's never be the cat's false ; )
xoxo
LOL! Actually, our mom says we could use that by our patio door, since we often come in from our back space with wet and/or muddy paws, dragging garden mulch, etc. She has a mat right there, but we like to carefully skirt around it as much as possible, and walk all along the bare floor, avoiding the area rug too. Heh heh.
Cats paws are always clean aren't they Tom?
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
That is true. All of our paws are always pristine clean. Why do we need to wipe our paws. But love the mat. Hope you have a great day.
Surely that wasn't meant for Tom!
We could use one of those! Kozmo and the hairy slobbery sisters always has dirty toeses!
Kisses
Nellie
Heh. It should say, "Lick your paws."
I'm afraid that my people are always wiping the highly cultivated mud off of my feet!
Nubbin wiggles,
Oskar
We can see how Tom would be insulted! :)
Sparkle, you're right, that's what it should say! We didn't show you what it said on the other side.."If you're a cat, disregard this notice!" hehehe!
We're so silly!
Tom
LOL!! Of course Tom was insulted!! Kitties always clean paws so don't need such a rude mat!
Our mom has a plaque by the back door that says the same thing. We think it's directed to visiting woofies, not us cats.
I think this is meant for the humans!
Your pal, Pip
I am sure they meant dogs, Father Tom. I know for sure that cats are always licking their paws and wiping their faces with it.
Eh, we interpret W.W. rather loosely! We should rename it "No longer than a sentence Wednesday"! It's a very cute mat though. Where did your mom buy it?
We don't think that was meant for cats - surely not! Just for silly humans. A cat wipe its paws - as if!
