The weekend's kinda cool because it usually gives me something to talk about on Mondays, meaning the blog is like gathering around a water cooler similar to humans. We check in with each other and see what's new. In the peep world, everybody then goes to work. All caught up, we cats take a nap.
This weekend, I had a visitor. Sybil the squirrel dropped by to show me her nails. She always gets them done at the salon where she goes and she just has to show them off.
Doesn't she look like she's talking with her hands? Haha! Actually, she does talk with her hands, just not in this photo.
Her visit dd get me thinking. We cats will never get the kind of manicure she was so proud of. Sure, we get our nails clipped. But, we don't get a chance to be fussed over in a fancy place where they gently file your nails, buff them and apply a pretty polish. Too bad, in a way.
Cats have found themselves happy that we have the toe beans we show off now and then and our claws (nails) are handy only when needed.
And our toes are sooooofffft! And they get kissed on occasion, too!
All right, I'll stop now. I don't want Sybil to get jealous when she reads this!

Tom, I fuss over all of the kitties toes, if they'll let me! I feel so very badly for declawed cats, and am doing all that I can to get people to stop having that awful surgery done. Angel curls her paws around my fingers every night, when I say "Night, Night!", and she purrs...
Claw trimming in a salon would be much nicer than wrestling here with amateur "Greg the Butcher" who tries to do it himself!
I agree Tom, toes are soft and kissable and jelly bean pads are irresistible.
Our mom would take cat toes over squirrel toes any day of the week, Tom!

My furrend Alexandra gets nail jobs. She gets softs paws in different colors.
Mom absolutely goes bonkers for my toesie jelly beans and my soft fluffy toesies...the whole paw. Smooch smooch smooch!
and she doesn't;t care where they've been. I even put a whole paw pad on her mouth at night sometimes.
