Notes from a parish cat and his author Julie Mackenzie

My photo
I am Father Tom Fish, esteemed member of the religious team at Temptation of Christ Parish in the novels by author Julie Mackenzie. As to my background, I was invited into the rectory as a stray, laid on the charm, and was invited to stay, even honorarily ordained and no less spiritual than my sidekick Father Will. He dotes on me to high heaven and forgives all of my street cat proclivities, whatever the hell that means.

Mitty and Friend

A fine specimen this bird is, a proud symbol of our nation's strength and freedom. This little guy here is even wearing a Department of Justice tank top. Could there be a better show of allegiance to a great country?

There are some of us around here, however, who don't give a cat's behind about symbols.  If it has a beak and toes, it's fair game, especially to Mitty. The poor eagle--no, my furriends, I don't think that's a love bite..!

"Are we having fun yet?"

"How did I get here?"

Mitty appreciates a cat toy he can wrap his jaws around fit comfortably in his mouth.

"Ooh, watch my frontal lobe, please."

"Hey, I needed that claw!"

Anyway, Mr. Eagle is a patient bird.

Kinda like our own national symbol, don't you think? (especially the "patient" part)

"Careful! No biteys on the tushie!!"

Have a great weekend, furriends. And, don't forget mom on Mother's Day!

I think ALL plush toys should get that kind of treatment! I do not really like them... probably comes from my having to pose with them so often when my human was trying to sell stuff on eBay.
