Compared to this, what I had in mind was pretty lame.
This is what was going on first thing this morning:
Trapper, the golden retriever who has now become part of the ever-growing rectory family, had given up his bed so Mitty would be comfortable.
Glad we snapped this before somebody woke up. You all know that either one of these guys could have moved at any moment and the cuteness would have been hiss-tory!
For you Tinker fans out there, here's a little springtime snoozing from the Big Puss.
And, of course, here's Mitty again (he's still gazing out in wonder at spring, including a robin)
A mouse with wings? |
A whole flock of
Of course, you can see how interested I am in all the goings-on.
Have fun, Mitty. I think I'll check my bowl for food I don't have to catch. |
So, there you have it. Friendships grow stronger and Mitty's still upstaging me. When he's old enough, I'll tell him to go and get his own blog.
Blessings and have a good weekend, furriends!

Its funny, I think I have more pictures of my kitties napping than any other pose...they can be just so darn CUTE! :)
Trapper giving up his bed for Mitty is just so sweet. Dogs will do that...can't say cats will give up their comfy spots for anyone else, unless they're pestered to. LOL.
Happy weekend to you all!
I give up my bed for my feline sisters all the time ...though sometimes I don't have a choice in the matter.
Your pal, Pip
yep - those kittens, can't live with their antics and can't kick them out of the house. MOL
What a sweet series of pictures and LOVE seeing Trapper and Mitty sharing..well, sorta sharing. Nah, they're sharing. xoxoxo
Hehe! Lovely sequence!!!
Awwww gorgeous Mitty RULES!! Well over Trapper - who is so adorable too!
Big wave to sweet Mitty and you too Tom! Enjoy your wonderful bird TV channel! Take care
x
That's a very nice shot. Sometimes when such opportunities present themselves, it can be hard to decide whether to risk grabbing the camera and have the furries move or just sit there and soak in the scene.
Enjoy your Bird TV, Mitty!
Sharing is a very wonderful thing to do! Y'all have a great weekend!
How kind of Trapper to give up his bed for Mitty - he is a very thoughtful gentleman dog.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
What great shots!
Kisses

It really does look like Mitty is taking over!
Oh Tom, no one could upstage you, you're the best! That first picture is adorable!
But Tom, you're still the star!
Tom, you are still king of the jungle over at the Rectory!
MOL! Cats have a way of getting the bed that they want.
Sharing is good - a bed, a blog ...

Khyra
No one could upstage you! Those plump birds are God's creations and you want to eat them? HAH! I almost had myself believing that. Have you submitted pics for Real Housecats, yet so we can work toegether?
I love those pics. Lots of cuteness going on in the rectory!
Awwww...Trapper has a heart of gold! These pics made me smile. Thanks!
Are you SURE Trapper gave up that bed voluntarily? Because even though Mitty's little, he does have claws to boop a doggy's nosicle!
That looks like our house. The cats shoo the dog off of her bed so they can have it the dogs are always nice about it. Mitty, you are such a lucky kitty to have such a good home. Hope all of you have a great week end.
Mitty
You are making yourself a good home!

We think Trapper just didn't want to mess with Mitty! So cute!!
That does look like one mighty comfy bed there Mitty! We enjoyed the pic of Tink. But Tom, you are our man and THE man and you always will be, buddy.
mmmmm.....Robins...plump....juicy.....
; ) Katie
We think its sweet how well you all get along!
Kizzie probably wouldn't say no to a robin, but she seems to prefer sparrows at the moment.
Haha. Trapper knows who rules the roost!
That Trapper sure is a nice woofie! What a cute picture of him and Mitty sharing. :)
Looking good, Tinker. And Tom ... we're with you, pal. We like watching the birds and squirrels and all, but food seems to magically appear in our bowls, so we'll stick to those. :)
Hugs to you all, and Julie, too!
Sammy and Moosey (and mom and dad, too)
Just dropping by to say hello, and by the way, that robin looks delishus.
Mitty has caught on early that the resident cats always run the house. There are 3 dogs next door but the cat Tippy is high exalted ruler there.
