Lemonade and Snow

Tom.

Tom?

What?

How're you doing in all this heat?

It's awful.

My ears are sticking to my head.

Poor baby. I had an idea that might help you and your furriends stay cool. Are you game?

Sure.

We'll start with holy water on ice (it's lemonade).

Oooh, I feel cooler already.

Then, I want you to look at this picture while I share with you a poem by Robert Frost.

Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

How's that?

It's purrfect!

Anybody want to borrow my mittens?

  1. Love Robert Frost. I did an essay on him and his work in school. It's so hot here but humidity is lower today for a change. Flowers are dying everywhere. Stay cool, Tom. You seem to have the right idea. Hugs, Deb=^..^=x4

  3. As much as we find this hot weather unbearable (it was 45C/113F yesterday with the humidity factored in), we hate winter and just don't want to even think about it yet. LOL.

Happy weekend to you...We're hoping for a break in this heat for us all!

  5. Hmmm! I think your Staff is just being cheap. Mine uses an AC to keep me cool so she doesn't have to resort to pictures and poems. Oh, and she drinks the lemonade herself. Pfftttt to her.

  6. Robert Frost is the best and we love the snowy picture. The lemonade looks great too. At least we felt a little cooler for a few minutes. Great idea. Hope all of you have a great week end and that you can remain a little bit cool. Take care.

  8. I will have some holy water, I mean lemonade. My mom has always loved that poem. Her papa used to read it to her when she was a little girl. And snow sounds pretty good right about now!

  15. I hope it cools down soon for you, Tom - it's no good if your ears are sticking to your head!

  19. Can you send us one of the desert? My yard is flooded, the driving wind has wrecked my beloved pink Barbie tent in the back porch and it's been cold and gray for the whole week. I am having cabin fever from being locked in the house all the time.

  22. We're feeling cooler already; thanks, Tom. (But we can't leave without reminding you to never eat snow that looks like frozen lemonade. Sorry, we couldn't help ourselves.) :)
