Vinny's View

Hi, everybody,

I'm Vinny Blackwhisker and old Tom has allowed me to post for him this week. I think it's a double-dog dare as to whether or not I can really do it, whether I'm reliable enough to make sure a post gets done at all.

I'm not in the habit of forgetting things, thank you very much. I like my travel and I travel light. I do as I damn well please. I won't ever have a blog of my own or anything even close. I'm only doing this because Tom doesn't think I will...and, he doesn't think I'll keep it clean.

I thought I'd put in another picture of the two of us. I met Tom when he first came to Temptation Parish. In fact, truth be told, our roles could have been reversed. I might very well have gotten to the housekeeper first, won her over with my charms and been Father Vinny. But, that would have forced me to change.

The holidays are coming up and I can't wait. All the crawl-under or into places will be lit with candles and sparkly things. Yes, I go to church, too, but I lay low. I like it better that way.

So, keep me in your prayers. My thyroid is acting up which means pills, and I look like a stringbean. I'm getting old, too. I'll be turning 17 soon. Little old lady cats are starting to look hot.

In for Tom,
Vinny

  4. We hope those pills help make you feel better. We know a lot of good looking "more mature" ladycats would love a handsome ManCat like you for a boyfriend.

  8. Hi Vinny, I like your perspective on life. I don't have any experience with Thyroid issues myself, but I have lived with several felines with similar issues. Maybe someone can put your pills in some yummy food. That's what my mom did with my sweet sister Daisy.

  9. Well, well, well, Vin, you did it! I really appreciate you..

Vinny: Never mind that. You're lucky, you know. What a nice bunch of furriends came by just to say hello. Maybe I'll drop in once in awhile.

Tom: Sure, do it! By the way..take care of yourself. And..always keep your tail where you can see it. (Vinny didn't hear him, he had already taken off, tail and all, around the corner.)

  16. Hi Vinny and Tom
Thanks for looking by on my blog. What a joy to find your message!
Wow, Vinny, for your age you look young and you did a great job here. Don't worry about the thyroid, my old cat lady (who unfortunately died last May) lived a long time with this decease, but you need to take those pills. If you don't like them, tell your human to mix it with some tuna or salmon paste... my old girl was fond of it.
Take care and have some fun with father Tom

The cat before me had tyriod problems and did very nicely on pills for several years. I hope you will be around for a long time yet - someone has to keep that Tom in check.
