Notes from a parish cat and his author Julie Mackenzie

My photo
I am Father Tom Fish, esteemed member of the religious team at Temptation of Christ Parish in the novels by author Julie Mackenzie. As to my background, I was invited into the rectory as a stray, laid on the charm, and was invited to stay, even honorarily ordained and no less spiritual than my sidekick Father Will. He dotes on me to high heaven and forgives all of my street cat proclivities, whatever the hell that means.

As Time Goes By - Gotcha Day 2015

You must remember this
A kiss is just a kiss
A sigh is just a sigh...

Has it been two years already??

This is how it all started. A shelter. A cat. Ooodles of charm. We were all weepy and sentimental last year and didn't notice..

Look at the wall behind these two!! Scratched all to blazes! Hahahaha!

Yes, it's been a long time since the old Motel 6 for strays, aka shelter, and even longer for a part of town I don't even want to think about anymore.

Lotsa lovin' is agreeing with me big time! (Mom Julie has this thing for angels)

"Sleeeep, little Chopin, sleeep!"

Speaking of all that is holy, I even have a mystique about me now.

Mom Julie and I started a priestly Father Tom Fishworthy page on Facebook. We like speaking through him, getting away with expressing what the original Father Tom might say and share. It's meant to be entertaining and we hope you find it so.

"Did you hear the one about the baker and the dog? I didn't either..."

                                                    Look! A squirrel!

I guess this post is done.

It's been a good two years. I hope to have many more with my homies Tinker, Anastasia and Bridget and a mom who thinks the world of me and loves me with all her heart.
